ABOUT THIS ARTWORK

Inspired by the iridescent beauty of Cetonia aurata resting among the delicate blooms of Cosmos bipinnatus, this artwork celebrates the often-overlooked relationships between flowers and insects. While rose chafers are sometimes considered garden pests, they are also important pollinators, feeding on pollen and helping to support the biodiversity of flowering plants. Painted with layered watercolour and ink on Hahnemühle Bamboo paper.
