A botanical art print of my original colored pencil artwork depicting a fully opened Persian buttercup (Ranunculus asiaticus), with layers of delicate pink, coral and cream petals.
I was fascinated by the intricate structure of the flower and the way its petals fold and overlap toward the centre. I used colored pencils to build the subtle variations of colour, from soft blush pinks to warmer coral and peach tones, while preserving the luminous white spaces between the petals.
